Nodes and clients

Participation has layers.

What running software for the network actually means.

A node is software that talks to the Dogecoin network: it relays transactions, checks rules, and helps keep a shared history honest.

Most people use a light wallet that trusts other infrastructure. Running a full client is optional participation, not a moral exam.

If you run software, download it from sources you typed yourself and verify releases the way the project recommends.

You do not need a rack of servers to belong here — understanding what a node is already removes a layer of mystery.
